Bulk Product Upload: Add Hundreds of Products in One Shot

Complete guide to uploading multiple products at once using Blanxer's bulk upload feature — from image preparation to CSV formatting.

Bulk product upload lets you instantly upload as many products as your premium plans allow in one shot. Instead of adding products one by one, you can prepare a CSV file and upload hundreds of products with their images, variants, and descriptions all at once.

Step 1: Prerequisites

Before You Start

  • Have pictures of all your products & variants in a folder
  • All pictures must be in 1:1 aspect ratio (recommended size 1080x1080) for perfect fit on website
  • Name picture files clearly to track which image belongs to which product & variant

Step 2: Uploading Pictures to Blanxer

2.1 Create a Folder

Go to Media Management, click on + Folder and create a folder (e.g., Nov_30)

2.2 Upload Images

Click on the created folder and Drag and Drop all images from your local folder

2.3 Download CSV

On the top right, click the CSV button to download the CSV format of that folder

CSV File Structure

The CSV file will contain:

file_name, file_url

This CSV is required for the bulk upload process.

Step 3: Understanding Bulk Upload Parameters

Step 4: Creating Product Descriptions

Using the Description Generator

  1. 1Visit description.blanxer.com
  2. 2Write down the description for individual product
  3. 3Click on Show HTML Value and copy that HTML
  4. 4Add this HTML value to the product_description field in CSV

Step 5: Creating Categories

Go to Categories and add required categories for your products.

Important: Remember the exact category names as they need to be added to the product_category field in your CSV file.

Step 6: Preparing the CSV File

Combining CSV Files

  1. 1Open both CSV files: upload sample and folder CSV
  2. 2Add file_name from folder CSV to product_name field
  3. 3Add file_url to image_1 field
  4. 4Fill up other fields: price, category, description, etc.

Handling Products with Variants

For products with multiple colors and sizes:

  • • Add separate rows for each variant/size combination
  • • Use the same group value for all rows of the same product
  • • Fill in variant (e.g., "Red", "Blue") and size (e.g., "S", "M", "L") accordingly

Example:

Premium Sofa with 2 colors × 2 sizes = 4 rows in CSV, all with same group value

Uploading Your CSV

  1. 1Save your prepared CSV file
  2. 2Go to Products → Add Product → Bulk Upload
  3. 3Drag and drop your CSV file to the bulk uploader
  4. 4Review the upload results

Handling Rejected Uploads

If any products fail to upload, the system will:

  • • Show how many products were added successfully vs rejected
  • • Generate a separate CSV with rejected products and rejection reasons
  • • Allow you to fix errors and re-upload the rejected file

Important Note

If your product needs custom fields like custom image or custom text, you need to manually add that property to the required products after bulk upload.
